E131: The Shotgun Stalker

(note: time stamps are without ads & may be off a little)

This week Beth and Wendy discuss James Edward Swann, Jr. AKA The Shotgun Stalker, a black American male serial killer. He terrorized Washington DC’s Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant neighborhoods over two months in 1993. He killed four people and wounded five in 14 different attacks.

We dive into the setting (12:51), the killer’s early life (25:54) and the timeline (33:26). Then, we get into the investigation & arrest (43:31), “Where are they now?” (53:38) followed by our takeaways and what we think made the perp snap (55:13).

As usual we close out the show with some tips on how not to get murdered (1:00:47) and our shout outs (1:02:34).

Thanks for listening! This is a weekly podcast and new episodes drop every Thursday, so until next time… look alive guys, it’s crazy out there!
