Sincere Apology to Our Fruities

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone, and in particular, our trans fam, for how we handled Episode 203 (the Barnes episode).

We are not making excuses. We f*cked up and we are copping to it. But we have unpublished the episode and will be re-recording it so we would like your suggestions.

One of the issues that we had in telling the story was trying to tell a story that took place in the past when the perpetrator was a different gender. We didn’t know how to tell the story without referring to their gender and prior name. This is ignorance on our part.

Another issue is that he actually goes by two different names. If you look at the Securus website, he says he goes by Jousha or Xander. We also didn’t know how to handle that – meaning which name to use throughout. We would be ever so grateful if you could give us some pointers. We thought we did OK, but obviously we did not. So we would like to take this as a learning opportunity and do better in the future.
